About Me

My name is Marty, and I am a GIS student enrolled at Selkirk College, located in the heart of the British Columbia’s West Kootenay region. I started coming to Selkirk in 2012 and i completed my diploma in Integrated Environmental Planning. During my time there, I was introduced to GIS, and decided to continue my education in that direction. Since starting this program, Ive learned a whole lot of interesting things here, and I’ve created this blog to share some of my work with you.

What I Have Learned this Semester

Over the course of this semester, we learned a bunch of cool new things. We learned how to use Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, ArcGIS and Python. Among all these programs, we have also been learning  about how GIS is use in this world, and its endless possibilities. One thing i have found most interesting is Drones. I would eventually like to have a career that requires the use of drones. Following is some of the work i have done over the semester in the programs mentioned above.
